Seeking Volunteers in Charlestown for Local Youth Sports Programs

CSAC-CHAD seeks adults who want to get involved with seasonal Charlestown youth programs. Volunteer opportunities exist in a variety of sports including:

• Hockey
• Gym Hockey
• Basketball
• Lacrosse and Learning Center
  
• Little League
• T-Ball
• CYO Softball
• Bunker Hill Derby
• Soccer
• Pop Warner Football
• Boys & Girls Club programs
• Community Center programs

CSAC Awarded as Drug Free Community Support Program

The Charlestown Substance Abuse Coalition has been named a Drug Free Community Support Program – and a recipient of a national grant from the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The Charlestown Substance Abuse Coalition (CSAC) is one of only 107 communities nationwide to receive the five-year federal grant this year. The goal of the Drug Free Support Programs and local coalitions is to work with community leaders and others at the local level to prevent and reduce drug, alcohol, and tobacco abuse among youth. As a result of the award, CSAC is pleased to announce two grant funded job opportunities, a full-time Assistant Coordinator and part-time Information Coordinator.

- Watch & see what happens in the streets, then in the court system through a Mock trial.
- Ask Judge Sullivan, Captain O’Rourke & Charlestown Court Officers your questions.
- Learn what simple actions you can take to make your street & our neighborhood safer for everyone!
- Take the “Charlestown…Committed to Change” Pledge
